With Mia Murphy, "Swallowed" is an interactive performance project that centers the sensory, existential, and communal experience of being swallowed and digested. We digest an audience.

The show is about comfort, about giving up and giving in and moving through. Being swallowed is not a struggle; you don’t have the feeling of wanting to escape. The piece must be graphic and visceral, but it is not horror. it is not our creative intention to directly elicit feelings of disgust, shock, eroticism, or horror.

This is an active project. We've tested two short-form performances in Pittsburgh and New York City and have completed one short audio commission inspired by the performance.
