COVID Cries

a comic for every time I cried during pandemic lockdown

COVID Cries

At the beginning of lockdown of the coronavirus pandemic, every time I cried, I tried to stop and illustrate the moment in time with sharpie and watercolor.

March and April 2020 COVID cries:

I cried like a frog on the itchy carpet because I was trapped & there was no tape left.
March 28: grocery store stress. A girl with wide eyes, a mask, holding a lemon.
march 27 - i cried because the rain smelled amazing. then i sobbed because I was so scared.

april 4 - i am an anxiety sponge. lurid sponge leaking murky water.
april 7 - my friend minded me how good the moon is

april 7 - my friends were nice to me on the internet. dozens of twitter logos fly lovingly at a happy girl
april 23 - i am a blob? a curvy potato blob with sock feet.

april 30 - i woke up and there was still a pandemic.

Sometimes my friends also made drawings. And sometimes there were sweet moments:

yesterday, a pizza delivery guy pretended to do a western hold up. two girls stand smiling with their hands up. a pizza delivery guy points a finger gun. everyone is wearing bandanas on their face, as there's a mask shortage.
